Function and use

As an astringent, it can mainly precipitate proteins, and can form insoluble complexes with alkaloids, glycosides and heavy metals.

Mainly used locally, its 11%~20% ointment is used for exudative ulcers, scalds, bedsores, hemorrhoids, eczema, etc., and its 15%~20% glycerin solution is used for stomatitis, tonsillitis and pharyngitis, etc.;

It can also be used as a clarifying agent for fruit wines and low-alcohol wines.

4. In the process of water treatment, tannin has the functions of flocculation, deoxidation, scale inhibition and sterilization.
